Education empowers you to understand and make sense of your world, and is consequently one of the core components of a ‘Gold Star’ therapy called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) [1] [2]

Education and its self-empowerment are linked to improved health [1] [2]

The benefits of Psychosocial Education include: increased personal awareness, mental health literacy, recognising and normalising experiences and supporting those affected by psychological disorders [3] [4].

Discomfort After Learning?

It’s normal! New insights gained about ourselves from psychosocial education often result in some feelings of anxiety and self-consciousness [5]. So please know you may experience some discomfort after listening to our education series.

Research suggests anxiety related to new learning can be lowered by talking to a professional / teacher about how to integrate that new learning into their existing world view [5]. So for best outcomes, we encourage you to book a single ‘reflection’ session with our coach/counselor session.

If the discomfort of new learning continues to be unsettling, please:

  1. consider exploring your learning with us in a one to one session;
  2. contact your Doctor,
  3. in an emergency call 000; or
  4. contact a free supports such as Lifeline: on 13 11 14
